A correct connected and operative heat plate has a explicit resistance, which is reflecting the power of the heating unit.
First step.... Remove the press from current!
Now the ohmic resistance can be measured between the two supply cables (textile encapsulated) of the heat plate.
The result should be between 20 und 30 ohm.
In our example below we are using a TC5, the result is 26 ohm.
